About Me
Welcome! I'm a software developer from Bucks, UK.
I'm Tech Lead at CrowdCharge, where I work on a SaaS platform that optimises EV charging for businesses and consumers. I'm also studying part-time for a Masters in Software Engineering at Oxford University.
I've worked in several industries, ranging from FinTech, to logistics, to EV's. I'm a full-stack developer who's comfortable:
- Architecting and building cloud platforms using IaC (Terraform and CDK)
- Designing and scaling database schemas
- Building CI/CD pipelines
- Writing backend services & API's
- Building webapps (angular, react, NextJS)
Languages
I like learning new languages, right now I use a mixture of:
- Kotlin/Java
- Golang
- Python
- Typescript/JS
- Rust (very recently)
- Elixir (very recently)
Projects
I've worked on some really interesting projects over the years, some things I'm particularly proud of:
- Building an IOT platform from scratch, to ingest and process large volumes of data from electric vehicles and chargers
- Created a DSL to generate simulations of electric vehicles and charger operations
- Created a high performance, distributed low-code FinTech platform, to reduce time to market for banking applications
- Created an internal stock exchange to allow investment banks to reduce trading fees
Things I want to work on in the future:
- Applying machine learning to problems I see in my day job
- Further exploration of linear/constraint programming
- Formal verification
Interests
In my spare time I enjoy running and boxing. I'm extremely average at both.
